Your daily to-do list; Drop off the kids, pick up dry cleaning, hit the gym, afternoon conference call, pick up the kids, drop off the kids at practice, start dinner, attend Stanfords seminar on Artificial Intelligence…

What? Not very realistic?

You’ll be surprised to know that the least realistic item in the list above is attempting to squeeze in a session at the gym between errands.

Stanford University is now launching a series of free courses and seminars online, for anyone to attend. It’s part of their approach to make a quality furthered education accessible to anyone willing to seek it.

The wonderful news is Stanford is not alone in their efforts. MIT, another of the nations most prestigious schools, is also joining the quest to supply knowledge to thirsty minds through the form of free online courses.

If this education altering movement continues to grow, consider what this may mean for future generations. Will we find our children studying at a Harvard level, without the Harvard price tag, and equally important will the role of the internet finally live up to the full potential of it’s teaching capability?

This is the time to spark the imagination, and dedicate the mind.
